PK.1.3.04.0777 – Support for companies for certification
A one-year project co-financed under the “Competitiveness and Cohesion” Programme to introduce the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
LUGplast d.o.o. has begun implementing a one-year project running from 16 October 2025 to 16 October 2026, concluded between the Ministry of Economy, the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovation and Investments and LUGplast d.o.o. (the project beneficiary), under the title PK.1.3.04.0777 – Support for companies for certification.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the company’s sustainable growth and competitiveness through the implementation of high standards of quality and environmental responsibility. The project enables the introduction of international standards for quality management – ISO 9001 – and for environmental management – ISO 14001 – bringing the company to a higher level of management in the handling of non-hazardous waste.
Introducing a quality management system under ISO 9001 delivers a consistent level of product quality and improved business efficiency, while introducing an environmental management system under ISO 14001 reduces the negative effects of production processes on the environment and promotes sustainable business practice through the introduction of new technologies to increase efficiency.
The key components of the project are:
- improving the quality of products and services, which include waste collection, sorting of waste plastic, mechanical treatment and waste disposal, through the implementation of a quality management system under ISO 9001
- reducing the environmental footprint through the implementation of an environmental management system under ISO 14001
- raising awareness of sustainable production through plastic recycling and waste reduction
- expanding production capacity through the use of new products
- advancing the digitalisation of the business through the implementation of new information systems and the use of production management tools
- developing employee skills in the field of smart specialisation, particularly in recycling and sustainable production.
Through this project LUGplast continues its ongoing work, combining employee training and certification as key elements in creating a high-quality and supportive environment, with particular emphasis on improving and raising the level of quality in its field of activity.
